Dr. Howard Golden is the clinic director of Horizon Health Care Group in Sandy Springs and founder of Atlanta Professional Speakers. Since 1999, Dr. Golden has been acknowledged as a nationally recognized speaker and consultant for both the chiropractic and medical professions. Dr. Golden has been fortunate to have spoken to thousands of his colleagues in over 30 states on practice management.
Dr. Howard Golden is an alumnus of the University of Arizona. In 1997, Dr. Golden completed his Doctorate, in Atlanta, which propelled his opening of Horizon Health Care Group in 1998. In 1998, Horizon Health Care Group was recognized in Atlanta's most respected business journal, The Atlanta Business Chronicle. In 1999, Dr. Golden completed an additional year of training to be a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. This degree extended Dr. Golden's training as an Olympic Chiropractor.
In 2003, Georgia Spine and Sports Rehab was opened as a second location. Dr. Golden has clinics in Buford and Sandy Springs, Georgia. He strives to make a difference in the lives of each patient. His passion for helping his patients live a pain free lifestyle is obvious by the individual care that he gives to each patient. Dr. Golden uses the latest technology and treatments to successfully treat both acute and chronic conditions that plague many people in our community.
As a professional speaker, Dr. Golden has spoken to hundreds of people in the Atlanta business community. He has been a guest lecturer for Nationsbank, Georgia Gas and Light, AT an T, MCI, MBNA bank, local YMCA chapters, Georgia's Worker's Compensation Association, and local AARP chapters.
When visiting Dr. Golden, you might find yourself in the waiting room with a well-known celebrity. Celebrity sightings have included Atlanta Thrashers hockey players, CNN Morning Anchors, and players from the four-time Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers.

Brenda has been working with Horizon Health Care Group for over 10 years. Her role primarily involves making sure our patients completely understand their insurance policies and whenever issues arise she is usually there to handle any concerns. Brenda often helps the patients smile when they leave the office as she is very understanding of the issues with regards to insurance coverage. Her goal is to make sure our patients insurance is filed appropriately and to make sure our patients have no issues in regards to their coverage.
Dr. Carmen Flores is originally from Miami, FL. and is an alumnus of Florida International University. She graduated with Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. Dr. Flores moved to Atlanta in 2000 to complete her Doctorate in Chiropractic.
She has been in practice since 2005 and specializes in various different types of Spinal techniques. Dr. Flores is certified in Sacral Occipital Technique, which is helpful with patients that have chronic hip and lower back pain. Her goal when working with patients is to get them to become proactive with their health. Each patient has exercises tailored to their individual need and then they are given a treatment plan to achieve the best possible results. She has specific training in the treatment and management of disc herniations, cervical whiplash, headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, and general musculoskeletal disorders.
Dr. Flores takes pride in treating each individual patient's particular needs. She brings to Horizon Health Care Group compassion with professionalism, as well as, knowledge of how to help patients live a pain-free lifestyle.
Vanesa Roldan is Horizon Health Care Group's assistant to the doctors. She will be there on your daily visits to make sure you are seen on time and will monitor your daily treatment. Vanesa brings to the practice five years of Medical Assistant and Medical Interpreting experience. Vanesa has had the pleasure of working in specialty practices such as Dermatology, Gastroenterology, and Internal Medicine. Vanesa's multifaceted medical knowledge allows her the ability to run the office more efficiently due to her ability to interface between the medical and the administrative.
Vanesa's passion for health care began with her studies in human physiology along with her work with The International Women's House, as a domestic violence weekend shelter manager and volunteer work with Dia de la Mujer, a national health fair for Hispanic women in need of free health care services. Her continued studies into nursing and her increasing knowledge in chiropractic will make her a well rounded health care professional. Vanesa's philosophy of comfort in wellness helps to create a family atmosphere that transcends between provider and patient.
Jessica Barker is the smiling face you will see every day and is the first voice you hear when you call our office. She has extensive work in managing the front office in medical practices and will be there to assist you from the beginning. When beginning as a patient in our office Jessica will verify all your insurance benefits to make sure you have coverage and if you don't she will make sure you can get the treatment you deserve from our doctors. Jessica graduated from Georgia Medical Institute in 2006, and has been working along Chiropractor's since 2007.
