In March of this year I was thrown off of an All Terrain Vehicle (QUAD) while on vacation and ruptured two discs in my lower back.  I could barely walk, the pain was agonizing, and functioning normally (much less working out) was nearly impossible.  Being a very active individual, an amateur natural bodybuilder, and traveling for work you could say my life style was “greatly hampered.”  At first I went to an orthopedist that gave me cortisone shots and recommended physical therapy.  After 6 weeks of no improvement and continued excruciating pain I was referred to Dr. Golden.  Dr. Golden took it slow with me and started with decompression treatments.  After a few weeks we ran nerve tests, he had me get an MRI, and even referred me to a neurosurgeon who diagnosed the real problem:  two ruptured discs.  With continued treatment from Dr. Golden and some help from the neurosurgeon, I can honestly say that I am back to normal both working and playing as I did before the injury.  With some luck, I will even be competing again soon.  Not only was Dr. Golden’s treatment incredible, but his ability to refer out and work with members of other medical disciplines makes him and Horizon one of the most thorough and professional health care providers I have ever worked with.
