Dr. Howard Golden, D.C.

Dr. Howard Golden is the clinic director of Horizon Health Care Group in Sandy Springs. Since 1999, Dr. Golden has been acknowledged as a nationally recognized speaker training both the chiropractic and medical professions.

Dr. Howard Golden is an alumnus of the University of Arizona. In 1997, Dr. Golden completed his Doctorate, in Atlanta, which propelled his opening of Horizon Health Care Group in 1998. In 1998, Horizon Health Care Group was recognized in Atlanta's most respected business journal, The Atlanta Business Chronicle. In 1999, Dr. Golden completed an additional year of training to be a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. With this training, Dr. Golden handles many sports injuries not typically seen by his colleagues. He has worked with many professional athletes and local children when injuries occur on the field.

In 2003, Georgia Spine and Sports Rehab in Buford, GA, was opened as Dr. Golden's second location with an emphasis on sports injuries. In 2005, Dr. Golden opened Atlanta Injury Specialists in East Point, Georgia, his third location with an emphasis on treating trauma related injuries. He strives to make a difference in the lives of each patient. His passion for helping his patients live a pain free lifestyle is obvious by the individual care that he gives to each patient. Dr. Golden uses the latest technology and treatments to successfully treat both acute and chronic conditions that plague many people in our community.

As a professional speaker, Dr. Golden has spoken to hundreds of people in the Atlanta business community. He has been a guest lecturer for Nationsbank, Georgia Gas and Light, AT an T, MCI, MBNA bank, local YMCA chapters, Georgia Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyer's Association, Georgia's Worker's Compensation Association, and local AARP chapters.

When visiting Dr. Golden, you might find yourself in the waiting room with a well-known celebrity. Celebrity sightings have included Atlanta Thrashers hockey players, CNN Morning Anchors, and players from the four-time Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dr. Golden was introduced recently at the Atlanta Junior Chamber of Commerce, with the following introductory bio:

He has spoken throughout Atlanta to Fortune 500 companies on injury prevention, work ergonomics, and stress in the workplace. He is the founder of the Atlanta Professional Speakers organization, as well as the treating chiropractor for numerous Atlanta Thrashers and other sports celebrities.

Dr. Golden is married to his beautiful wife Giselle. They live in Sandy Springs, GA. Dr. Golden enjoys traveling, golf, attending concerts, and watching an occasional movie.

Dr. Alan Bragman, D.C.

Dr. Bragman has practiced in the Atlanta area since 1982. He earned his chiropractic degree from National College of Chiropractic and his undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University. He has been the owner and director of the North Decatur Chiropractic Clinic for the past 28 years.

Dr. Bragman’s practice has an emphasis on athletic, traumatic and personal injuries. Patients are given comprehensive workups including orthopedic, neurological and diagnostic examinations prior to development of a treatment plan. As a member and consultant of numerous athletic organizations, Dr. Bragman has treated Olympians to casual athletes through rehabilitation work, strength, flexibility, and core training. He also was on the medical advisory staff for Bicycling magazine for over 10 years.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Bragman has testified in hundreds of cases involving chiropractic negligence and standards of care throughout North America. He was the administrator and clinical advisor for the Blue Cross Blue Shield chiropractic point-of-service plan in Georgia

Dr, Bragman is married with two grown sons, is an avid athlete and lives in the Sandy Springs area.

Brenda Harrell-Billing Manager

Brenda Harrell has been working with Horizon Health Care Group for over 10 years. Her role primarily involves making sure our patients completely understand their insurance policies and whenever issues arise she is usually there to handle any concerns. Brenda often helps the patients smile when they leave the office as she is very understanding of the issues with regards to insurance coverage. Her goal is to make sure our patients insurance is filed appropriately and to make sure our patients have no issues in regards to their coverage.

Dory Sanchez-Front Office Assitant

Dory Sanchez has lived in Georgia for about 2 years, she moved here with her family and is enjoying Atlanta. She is originally from New York City. Dory has been a Certified Medical Assistant since 2001 and received her Associate Degree in Medical Administration. She enjoys working in the medical field and appreciates the opportunity to help people that it brings. Dory is currently attending Devry for a Bachelor in Small Business and Entrepreneurship. She is a very outgoing person who enjoys taking on new challenges every day. She is the smiling face that will greet you on each visit and will handle your scheduling. As well as answer any questions you may have and guide you on your path to wellness.

Rachel Wexel-Therapy Assistant

Rachel Wexel graduated in 2009 from Emory University with a B.A. in Spanish but has a passion for treating people. Rachel has been involved in athletics since her childhood, from playing on Emory’s club soccer team to competing in ALTA and USTA leagues. More recently, she has competed in several state and regional level CrossFit competitions. Her experiences in athletics have given her the opportunity to not only appreciate the physical demands of sports and life but also treat her teammates to enhance their performance and ease their discomfort.

She is a firm believer in communicating with patients on a personal level to treat the core of their problems. As the oldest of 14, her ability to care for multiple people at once and multi-task in the office is unparalleled. Rachel knows that receiving treatment can be an inconvenience to many people, and the symptoms they have can be very painful. Her goal is to make your experience at Horizon Health Care Group a pleasant and comforting one and for you to leave each time feeling a little better, until your body is operating at maximum efficiency.
